There's a special place in heaven
For a heart as good as yours
Someone as wonderful as you are
Recieves only open doors.

Darkness flees in your presence
You bring with you summer and sunshine
Laughter follows you wherever you go
A presence of peace so divine.

It is not in your nature to be snide
No eagerness to cause or fight
But you're not afraid to stand against
When you believe the cause is right.

You're my anchor on a storm tossed ocean
The pier that brings me home
You stand firm against the winds of life
That would tempt me to roam.

You are the light to my shadow
The steadfastness to my flighty ways
You bring reality back to my dreams
When I'm too weak to find my way out of the haze.

Thank you, my friend, for loving me
For making room for me in your heart so true,
Thank you for accepting the little I can give you back
And experience the wonder of the light that is you.
