The Lighthouse Poem by Sebastian Sandok

The Lighthouse

I had never meant to find you,
For hidden in all the shades, of all the worlds,
Deeply tucked away was your beautiful hue.

And as the world was asleep,
So took I to the land,
Crossing moonlit glades under starry sky,
Searching silhouettes in hope of your hand.

I cannot say I have never dreamt,
For deep and restless has been my soul,
Wandering thoughts paid to moments spent.

Hoping to stumble upon,
A bright radiance in the westerning sky,
Such light that neither sun nor moon could conceal,
If to be found, that is where you would lie.

Dare I say, it wasn’t I but thee,
For if I look back,
It was you who found me
