The Lion's Final Speech Poem by Abir Basak

The Lion's Final Speech

Once in the wild green
Stretched through a collosal extent
The true beauty one has seen!
But soon came a dent,
When the lion accepted
his 'defeat',
'With this shall, I shall dethrone
And here I REPEAT!
All you consider, the lavish what I own.
Including this royal seat!
And worry not friends,
This isn't an extraordinary deed.
For I think only the good
For all my lovers
And my brothers
Out in the wood
And here I speak the truth,
All this is due to a fox's cunning seed
Which grew to the reason why this Brute
Shall melt to do such a deed.
They say, they do,
What the lambs want
Even if their number is few,
Well isn't this some bluffing taunt? !
But I am kind,
And you know dont you?
That I wont hold someone in their bind
And at least taste the drink they brew!
So I leave it all to them,
And leave as if an exile,
Letting them play their game
And you shall do what they say.
Since you lambs are weak and futile,
I am pretty sure they will find a way! ! ! '
