The Long Walk Home Poem by Shelby Jasmin Estrada

The Long Walk Home

Rating: 3.0

Walking in the hot sun
Feet aching
Legs and back throbbing
Smelling gasoline zoom by
Hearing tires screech
Listening for a crow to caw
Feeling a breeze rush by
My lips taste like sweat
As I walk the road home
I see the sun slowly fade
