The Loser Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

The Loser

late night, my heart breaks into two pieces
one, for not being able to pluck the moon
from the swaying boughs and let it sleep in my bed
another, for the lonely candle
that hisses wax on the table waiting for its death in
an effort to light up the door for you to come
