The Lost - Ant Or You Poem by unknown lonewolf

The Lost - Ant Or You

In a world so vast, an ant wanders alone,
Through towering grass, far from its home.
With every step, a new scent to chase,
But where is the path in this endless space?

Does it search for a friend, a trail to follow,
Or is it lost in thoughts, its heart feeling hollow?
Each blade of grass a towering wall,
In a universe so large, it feels so small.

It searches for friends, but follows the trail,
The scent of food calls, it cannot fail.
Bound by its nature, it marches on still,
Lost in a world shaped by instinct's will.

Its path uncertain, in God's hands it lies,
Will it find its way home, or face new skies?
Perhaps a reunion, or a fate unknown,
A new colony, where it stands alone.

For life's winding trails, no one can foresee,
What's meant to be home, or what's meant to be free.
