The Lost Children #5-8 Poem by GORDON GILHULY

The Lost Children #5-8

5

we offer our love:

coffee, beds, a one-night home -

it is not enough

6

tonight I pretend

you are my kin - tomorrow

I shall sleep alone

7

tonight we give you

our seven hours of duty -

who will give you love

8

everything you own

lies with you on the floor - who

would choose emptiness
