The Lost Prayer Poem by Subeesh Surendran Punneri

The Lost Prayer

There she was, after few days
Went by to see if i caught her gaze.
Walked by as she giggled with her friends.
Clanged my keys to get her attention.

Her dark twinkling rabbit eyes
Met my eager eyes
She smiled back ….
And my heart fell back

Closed my eyes to memorise it,
For I know not if i can own it.
She knew she was in my heart,
The only one in my heart.

What was his plan? No one knows.
All I know is my love grows.
For she said his will will be done
Gods will, I hope is we be one.

What she seeks? I do not know
For I gave her, all I have.
If only I knew what's in her heart.
I will never let her be apart.
