The Love Poem by Katherine Bryce

The Love

The love I offer, is nothing but fair,
my love does not cheat, and will never lie,
I ask that you handle my love with care,
and don't shatter it by saying 'goodbye'.

The love I do give, is nothing but true,
it's a love that other's only dream of,
this love will call for one man, if it's you
be kind and it will come, just as a dove.

If my love gets broken, tattered, abused
I will fix all the pieces on my own,
a hole will burn, from where it was misused,
my love is not something that you can loan.

If one day, my love makes your heart its home,
don't block out my love, by making a dome.
