The Love Card Poem by Fabian Omosigho

The Love Card

The eyes, behold the sight
The stimuli, received
Actions they were, the neurons
The impulse fast travelling
The thought, the meditation, a product of the sight…

The long curling hair, so natural
The beautiful round eyes, the result of the stare
The skin, its shines, its glittering nature caught the eyes
The perfect curves, the edges, well designed
A wonderful creature, the sight behold

The heart had been captured…
Though within but yearns for her
The desires of the heart speaks volume
The mind overwhelmed and the soul deeply pierced…
In unison they were

Feelings indestructible
Emotions, she had taken over
Passion for her, touches the sky
Sensations undeniable
My better half found…

My queen in my kingdom…
She speaks the king listens
My empress of my empire…
She asked, the emperor grants
My princess, the prince's shoulder is here to lean on
My beloved, he is here to care for you…

The heart captured…
The mind overwhelmed…
Spirit linked…
The appeal is brought forth
YES, the desired respond
