I tried so hard to make you my wife
After all you were The Love Of My Life
You had other plans I finally did see
And not a one of which, involved me
So out the door and down the road you went
Leaving me sad and my emotions completely bent
It was much later that I would figure it all out
You'd repeat this cycle leaving others to scream and shout
It was all over that one, that from you, got away
That kept you from ever, with another man, to stay
You'll never get him back, so you better deal with it all
Because you screwed him over and he left you last fall
He leads a great life, with children and his mate
Thats why you now suffer, this unbearable fate
