The Love Shown From Within Poem by Jazz Simpson

The Love Shown From Within

We are with each other yet we are
Never together, I’m right beside her
Yet I'm not there like I’m transparent, like she sees right through me. The pain
That she puts me through cuts deeper than any
Two edged razor ever could even
Though she does it with the best intentions the
Hurt seems to glare at me with contempt and benevolence as
If it knows that my anguish is superfluous in means of escaping
The howling rampaging death of that which is love she knows my sincerity
It isn’t fair the love that we share knowing how love is stained how
It is a crime worst then the penalty of
Death, I fell into her trap, she falls
Holding her stomach gasping for breath as she
Cried out laughter it pains to
See her eyes weep tears of joy knowing that that is the one emotion that I fail to
Be able to acquire
No one’s there I am a hollow
Shell waiting for the end of
Days as I lie dazed and confused as she looks
At me straight into my eyes they are cold yet
She receives their warmth
My heart starts to slowly shatter it drowns out the sound of my voice
It is loud to my ears like a
Breathtaking silence she
Is deaf and mute nothing enters
Or leaves when
Love is strong enough to push one to the edge of extinction.
Love that is what I show even though it walks like a ghost and lingers
Like it cannot return to its eternal sanctuary until it has passed on its message
No not like a normal love this one is secret, u might even say that it is sacred it is the love that’s shown from within. Almost like an illness with no cure. I sit in silence and wait for the day when she can see my sincerity.
