The Lover Of All Men Poem by Michael Akinfenwa

The Lover Of All Men

watching from a distance, he sees her
so long without a trace, months on end
but now he calls out from afar,
smiles light her up, she sees him

a wave, a salute, for now
@ d place they meet later
'its bin so long'
'yeah, its good 2 c u'
calls were made bus-stops behind

some relished, others forgotten
history repeats itself
not with this one alone, millions
at home, n abroad alike

hes riding a bike now, through d wind
he remembers and sings, 'so many r they'
'who 4get me everyday', 'if i tire n sigh'
'especially when no one is nigh'
'who shall remember my enduring love n concern'
'it wasn't in my plan, but i cant stop..'
'i cud b like this even till i drop'

he stops, i mean the tire is flat
no spares, he looks @ peeps around
'who cares', no one,
pushing to a tree, it sleeps beneath him
he looks up around, same ole story this time 'only' around

but who will love him back, his heart yearns
if only these people cud c it
does pride get in d way, it should, it shouldn't!
who knows best, what is the intent
love goes on, unadulterated,
unending n eternal, GOD loves you brother! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
