The Loving Liar Poem by Josh Menard

The Loving Liar

Rating: 5.0

Love is anything you wish it to be
Anything; anything but me
No I am a liar
Leading down this empty spire
Of dishonesty and hate
Just looking for someone to take my bait
Enough! I want to be more
More than just a score
Someone who is loved
Someone who isn't shoved
Into the lockers of despair
With you
Guiding me to
The pearly gates of joyfulness
The ones that hurt me
Will all be voiceless
Even now
As I hear the sound
Of the ones that brought me pain
Now I know
It was not for show
And it was you I got to gain
