The Lying Game Poem by Miko Bailey

The Lying Game

Let's pretend that my pain is nothing.
That the faded white scars are gone.

Let's laugh and joke around and hide the tears.
Wipe them away for me and cover my arms.

Let's go find my masks,
and make sure they aren't broken.

Pretend you don't hear me screaming for you,
while my lungs fill with water.

And,
whoever dies first,
loses.
