The Maze Of Me Poem by Danielle Asiedu

The Maze Of Me

Mistakes of my past, they haunt me still,
Echoes of regret, a guilt that's hard to fulfill.
Why am I never enough, why can't I be perfect too?
A constant voice whispers, "You're not enough, it's true".

Why is everything so difficult for me?
A struggle to breathe, a weight that's crushing me
I search for answers, but they're hard to find
A maze of self-doubt, a mind that's lost its shine

I beat myself up, with every mistake I make,
A never-ending cycle, a heart that's about to break.
I yearn for forgiveness, for a chance to start anew
But the ghosts of my past, they linger, haunting me.

But still I rise, through the darkness and the pain
A glimmer of hope, a light that shines like rain
I'll learn to let go, to forgive myself, to heal;
To find my worth, my strength, my heart that's real.
