The Meaning Of Life Poem by Bob Densmore

The Meaning Of Life

The Meaning of Life

Not collections, selections, emotions, or potions.
Not the titles we wear or the troubles we bare.
Not the noise of the crowd or the slumbering proud.
The meaning of life my friend, is that in the end
We will be counted.
We are uniquely one, each more loved than the sun.
The all of the universe is but an empty hole.
Not a single star shines with a soul.
The meaning of life my friend, is that in the end,
We will be counted.
No matter the currency we save or how we behave.
The science of truth will not bear the good fruit.
The whole of the sum is that we are one.
The meaning of life my friend, is that in the end,
We will be counted.
