The summer sun begins to melt into the sea
Her feet of golden brown sink in the slushy sand.
Ashore and safe she tarries at the water's edge
As on he sails with fervent passion toward the land.
The days were endless, and the nights were longer still.
How could he know that he had just begun his quest?
Though battered by the wind and waves while on the deep,
He would not pause, for in her arms he'd find his rest.
