Staying home, doing chores,
nothing better to do than
opening the doors.
All alone she stays,
trying to make her family happy
in each and every way.
But no one cares,
they just eat the food,
and again go downstairs.
Sometimes, the kids even insult
the food she prepared.
She never got love and attention
she always craved.
Yes, she is the mother of the home,
who takes our care until we are grown.
She now is old still working as hard
as she could,
Her children are now married living in
another town.
While she keeps getting older,
with her the health problems such that
needing help even for walking down.
She now is a grandmother with wrinkles all over her face.
She sits with her grandchild, while he just happily plays.
The time has finally come,
she is now lying on a bed,
wondering when she would meet her death.
Her son finally did ask her, 'If she was fine? '
To that question, she just smiled...
Her eyes closed forever with that smile on her face.
Looks like she finally made one memory,
she would always like to embrace.
