The Message Poem by Santana Moshel

The Message

One day I will stop kicking
In the null
Now I spend hours and hours
Gnashing and clenching.
My disable body
celebrating the starvation of joy,
Intimidates
Scissoring the dreams..

My friends and family
Go to newsletters
blue in argument
purple in shame

White at (pondering) wicked humanity
They murmur..
I comment
WITH EMOJI (S)

But oneday I will stop spitting
Towards the sky.

The incarnation of justice
Surely to come
Which you and I overhear.
