The Mirror Of The Woods Poem by ashok jadhav

The Mirror Of The Woods

The forest bends beneath the evening wind,
Its shadows long and restless on the ground.
I watch the river curve and turn in thought,
Its current carrying what I cannot name.
The mountains hold their silence like a truth,
Unmoving, patient, watching time unfold.
The sky pours light across the restless fields,
And clouds drift slow as memories through mind.
I see my own unrest within the trees,
My fleeting joys reflected in the stream.
The seasons mark the change I cannot halt,
And in their cycle, learn the weight of time.
Nature speaks without a single word,
Yet teaches all who pause to understand:
That life, like wind or water, moves and bends,
And in its quiet mirror shows the self.
