The Missing Morning Romance Poem by Maahi Priyanka Raj

The Missing Morning Romance

This dusky morning
I don't wanna wake up
I don't wanna greet the sunrise
All I want is to lie down on his lap
Today I want to defend myself
From having a heart to heart conversation
The green pines are out of my sight
The scent of basil leaves is lost
Let his eyes watch me, piercing the clouds
All I want to catch a beautiful day......
For, I want to have a peacock dance again.

Sometimes I feel to break the intervals
To experience the stunning cold shore
To listen, his resounding heartbeat from the coast
And recoiling my blanket again for a cosy sleep
Sometimes, I feel to jump out of bed, for an unfiltered tour
These morning dew droplets from heaven are serene
In an impossible level, the sea enchants.

On some drizzle dawn, submerged in morning breeze
I miss the sweetness of rain,
The melodiousness of music refreshing my soul
Stimulating from the seashore to uplifting hills
And soothing my eyes with peacock's enthralling dance
Let the pink lotus bloom again in the chilled lake
For, this is blessed time, the pure, tranquil time
To appease the beauty of morning romance again!
