The Monkey Keeper (Three In The Morning) Poem by Han Min Ohn

The Monkey Keeper (Three In The Morning)

Once there was a monkey keeper in a zoo
Who planned to feed his monkeys nuts as food
‘Three in the morning I will give you as breakfast’
‘And four nuts as dinner you will get, ’ he said

The monkeys when heard this angrily cried
‘Change your plan immediately or violence we will try! ’
To this the monkey keeper calmly replied
‘Don’t get carried away your wish I won’t deny.’

‘What about four nuts as breakfast and three as dinner, ’ he said
‘Your morning hunger will be satisfied much.’
To this plan the monkeys happily clapped and agreed
Although same number of nuts they finally received.
