The Monsters Poem by Secretly Yours

The Monsters

Every monster you saw,
Was a human,
With a soul,
And a heart,
With hopes,
And promises.

The narrow thinking of the world,
Broke down its hopes,
And dreams,
Gave it a reason to hate,
A reason to kill.

Overtaken by hatred,
Love was long extinguished,
Hopes were taken,
Dreams were crushed.

A human,
Whose soul was taken,
Feelings were killed.

Now every time you see a monster,
Don't fear it,
Fear the society who created it.
