The Moon Poem by Kat George

The Moon

The moon shone
It's Florence beams
Upon the hidden
Grounds of forgotten decay

As the night life shied away
From it's glaring rays of antiquities
It had seen history in the making
But dared not share it's own
Misbegotten past

It has encouraged lovers
To take the first step
Of the unknown
Into their lovers arms
As they taste the sweet
Nectar of loves first kiss

It has seen many broken hearts
As life entwines peoples
Foolish hearts as they deny
Their own fates chosen path

How does one mend a broken heart
How do you breath to live again
I'm told it takes time
In due time it will heal
What's shattered will be fixed
It's just a matter of finding
The right one
