The Moon Won'T Go Down Poem by Ville Vanity

The Moon Won'T Go Down

The Moon has risen on its own,
we're all we've got left.
Your voice takes on a whole new tone.
You have a new craving, a new obsession.

But I haven't forgotten you,
and all you stand for.
I promise I'll fix this.
I'll hold onto your heart,
until you need it back.
But I can't guarantee I'll want to let it go.

When you come crawling,
you're battered and bruised,
you're broken and empty,
you never thought you'd lose.

I still hold your heart, darling.
But this time I won't let it go.
I can't let you give it away,
on one of your careless days,
and watch you die a little more
each time you f a l l a p a r t

Pick up the pieces, meand all the bones.
In the end we'd never though it would be
you & me,
a l o n e
