The Moonlit Realm Poem by Skylark Woodrow

The Moonlit Realm

Moonlight spills across my pillow,
I am unable to sleep.
Softly,
Gently, it beckons me into the night realm;
Entreating me to witness the wonders that lay beyond the light of day.
It is quiet,
So quiet.
On the surface it seems that all the world is asleep;
But that isn't so,
The sunset only awakens a new world.
A world bathed in shadows and silvery moonlight,
With creatures that seem shy and mysterious.
A world where one is serenaded with new songs in new languages they have yet to learn.
A world where their eyes witness a forgotten place,
A hidden time;
A new realm full of beauty and wonder
waiting.....waiting.
