The Mountain Chest Poem by Sharron Stephenson

The Mountain Chest

Rating: 5.0

trying to be happy when you are feeling blue,
is not a easy thing to do,
a fake smile on a face,
can tell a thousand lies,

the eyes that are like the stars,
can hide the truth of emotions,

as the river runs cold,
the love you have is told and sold,
keep a pack of cards close to the,
chest,
as the number of souls climb to,
the top of the mountain,
and sings a love tune,
for the one that slipped through,
the net of dreams
