Oh calvary! do you remember the calvary?
Oh calvary, mysterious and dark
Where sorrow and love left their eternal mark.
A place of pain and sacrifice,
Where the son of God paid the ultimate price.
On that hill, the cross stood tall,
As the crowd mocked, and the soldiers watched it all in accord.
But what they didn't know, was the plan divine,
To save us all, and make our hearts align.
The mystery of calvary, still remains,
A story of love, that forever sustains.
For on that cross, our sins were laid,
And eternal life, for us was made.
The blood that spilled, cleansed our souls,
And made us whole, and now we are made whole.
But the mystery doesn't end there,
Do you remember
On the third day, a miracle was declared.
The tomb was empty, and the stone was rolled.
For death could not hold, the son of God.
So let us remember, the mystery of calvary,
For it is the greatest act, unrequited love and mercy.
And let us live, with grateful hearts,
For the mystery of calvary, will never depart.
