this life is new
its new to me and you
no one ever thought i would do it
but i have the choice to prove them wrong
i have a life
that many do not understand
i have a new life
that my friends do not get
but i still cannot wait
to have the date
that one with the girl
that has my heart in her hands
i have this new life
that many wish to have
i still wish i could have gave
the effort that i have
in my past life
i still hope for more
and cannot wait to walk out the door
but i still adore
the family that i have
but i wish i could have given them
that chance that the deserve
all i gave them was the time i served
locked up in that cell
i love the family and my friends too
please do not give up so soon
i promise you that there can be
a bright light by the sea
or the banner's when i walk thought the doors
the day will come as soon as
everyone choose's that new life
thats the day we can sit and watch
the night set and fall
