The Night Lives Poem by Thomas Ware

The Night Lives

Darkness comes for all of us.
Night approaches, waiting, watching,
And soon, the light shall fail.
The wall that holds back death shall weaken,
And darkness shall prevail.
Evil creatures stalk in shadows,
Snatching those who falter.
Eventually, Night will come,
And on us, put a halter.
There are those who orchestrate,
All the things we fear and hate;
Thus our world is guided,
By those who want its doom.
