The Nightmare - Poem by Gerind Wurslin

The worst night of all nights
Friday night, so dark and glooming
Too scared to roam, I’m about to cry
I take a deep breathe, very soothing

Rest my head down, calm thy nerves
Close my eyes, forget the stress
In bed, cannot control my swerves
Too nervous, hands compress

“It’ll only take a minute, no pain.”

Raised up, looked to my right
Could not believe it, there was no way
In front of me, I saw the light
I made it through the day
