The Norman Church Poem by stephen sutton

The Norman Church

That book sat sitting on the shelf
Could it be a 1st edition
Maybe James Bond published in Britain
I must have read it and kept it for care
Of course it is the Holy Bible
Have you read it? Are you liable?
I grew up beside a Norman church
A thousand years around grew birch
This book always takes me back
The choir practise after school
Campanologist, s noisy Sunday sessions
This book that, s missing from the church
