The One Poem by Emm G...

The One

Are you the one?
Who are you?
Are you waiting for me?
Where are you?

You came to me,
And saw through my mask.
How did you know that was not the true me,
Without having to ask?

You saw the shy smile beneath
That horrible glare.
You are the one!
No reason to compare.

Listen to my secrets
That no one else knows.
My thoughts drift down to you
Like flakes when it snows.

Come with me!
You are the one!
Take me with you
Into the setting sun.

We have flown
For all our lives.
It now all ends
When death arrives.

I won’t forget you.
You'll always be in my heart.
It felt like a play we were in,
And I had the main part.

I have you to thank
For treating me like a queen.
This whole love fest
Just seems so unseen.

No one ever really finds
This unheard love.
Or to hear of it from the young
Where it’s as pure as a dove.

It's a one and only thing
To find such happiness.
To be the couple of unheard love
Is such a bless, is such a bless.
