The One That Goes Away Poem by Ma. Teressa Pajamutan

The One That Goes Away

Farther than a thousand miles,
Farther than I've ever known.
My grandmother I really love
Just gone by the wind.

Night by night,
I always remember her.
The smile on her face
The smile that I always wanted to see.

Everyday,
I always wish she's still here.
Tears fall from my eyes.
Tears that means how much I miss her.

Those memories that I had with her
Will always in my heart.

Nothing I can do
But to accept the fact that she's gone.
My Grandmother I really love,
Is the one that goes away.
