The One Who Designed Me Poem by Gary James Smith

The One Who Designed Me

Rating: 5.0

THE ONE WHO DESIGNED

The One who designed me
Desires to bless me
And this He has done through Christ
When the weight of my sin
Set to do me in
He paid the ransom price

Helpless was I
To escape it
It gradually wore me down
No efforts of mine could erase it
And bare it I would on my own

But then through the Word hallelujah
My sin was exposed by the light
My heart was pierced through and through
How darkness had kept me in night

The choice was presented unto me
Would I stay lost or be saved
Would I enter an eternal hell
When finally my life faced the grave

My will gradually turned into willingness
For me it was to be Heavenbound
I wanted to be with that One Who loved me
And rapture when I leave earth's ground

So on my knees in repentance
This prayer a most significant part
I acknowledge dear God that I am a sinner
Lord Jesus come into my heart!
