'The Ones Held Dear' Poem by Evelyn Evey

'The Ones Held Dear'

She stoned your heart yet it bleeds
ripped it apart yet still in need,
Of her touch, of her skin, of her around u re still week.

But why would I blame you for this need?
When she is the girl of dreams indeed,
she passes by and I see the gleam in your eyes a light flame.

smiles at you and back you grin, the wildest smile Ive ever within, dimples appeared at ur now cheery cheeks, a sight so rare, a moment sweet. But strange it seems, they never appear,
When its just us, 'the ones held dear'
