The Open Door Poem by Richard Merrell

The Open Door

God has set before you an open door
Let those come in who may
It is a door no man can shut
There is no other way.
The lintel has been made by God
Great Architect of grace
This door swings wide in Calvary's love -
For those who run the race.

The door stands firm today
Fixed solid to the jamb
It's hinges oiled by Holy Fire
By the blood of God's own Lamb.
The open door is named by God
With the only name that pleases;
None other name has heaven's gate
But, Yeshua, Yeshua, Jesus

1 John 5: 13
