The Open Road Poem by Max D. Hornbogen

The Open Road

As I drive down this open highway I see lights that are slowly fading with the night, but the stars at night are shining so bright that could guide me through the night. Now this open road is wide as my eyes, but just only seeing the snow on the ground that is so white. Even where the snowflakes fall, just falling from the sky above. Then suddenly I saw a smile on my face that’s when I looked at my rear view mirror. Then I had a thought, a thought of memories of child hood past. Even now I see the sights that I long to see of yet to come? . Now these memories have been complete, with only the open road ahead of me to see.
