The Oracle's Compass Poem by Morimyth Weaver

The Oracle's Compass

Where does this road lead to
The one I followed here?
The sky is growing dark and I,
I find myself alone.
I look into my Compass.
Oracle, please speak the wind's breeze.
Direction and course is set.
Manifest heading, release...

You'll find me walking
along deserted streets.
If I'm not all there,
just shake me.
Waking dreams bear chains,
please
shake me from my reverie.

I come to a road's dead end,
desolation surrounding me.
I knew it resided here,
but not how much it's grown.
I look into my Compass.
Oracle, please sing the wind's breeze.
Intention and course is set.
Conjure our heading, release...

You'll find us walking
along deserted streets.
If we're not all there,
just shake free.
Waking dreams bear chains,
please
shake free from the lie of reverie.
My mind is falling through deep abyss,
I fear our time may be
running out.
But I know there's life here.
Let's make our own reality.

When my sight goes black,
like walking blind, I stumble.
Just keep your eyes on me.
I don't need my eyes to see
the isolation,
autonomous implosion.
Look into my Compass
with me.

You'll find us walking
along deserted streets.
If we're not all there,
just shake free.
Waking dreams bear chains,
please
shake free from the lie of reverie.
My mind is falling through deep abyss,
I fear our time may be
running out.
But I know there's life here.
Let's make our own reality.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Denial is more than just a river in Egypt, but much like it, the path one takes is linear, and will open to the ocean, regardless of your belief. - 333
