The Pain - Poem by alex haywood

The pain
when it comes
stabs at me
I thought I was ready
yet I'm surprised
by it's intensity
crying to sleep
crying in my sleep
crying for days
by myself with myself
Showers hide my tears
I take many
nothing cleanses my soul
no sunshine left only smoke
for days I'm a wreck
no one knows
none can see
the insane
of the pain
when it came
days after
you're dead
