'The Pain In Waiting' Poem by Broken Wings

'The Pain In Waiting'

Curled in on myself and clutching at my chest.
With every heart beat without you in my arms brings pain.
Breathing gets harder and I began to shake.
The pain is so unbearable to live with.
Wishing my life would end and save me from this pain.
An echo of your smile and laugh keeps me alive.
But that alone is not enough.
Still my wrists are scarred and bleeding.
Though it is not your fault my dear Lost soul.
