Wings broken.
Wrists scarred and bleeding.
Crumpled on the ground waiting to be found.
Broken and lost.

Curled in on myself and clutching at my chest.
With every heart beat without you in my arms brings pain.
Breathing gets harder and I began to shake.
The pain is so unbearable to live with.

Tears sting my eyes.
They leave stains on my cheeks.
Why did I have to be so far away?
Why couldn't I help?

Love is important.
Without it life would be hell.
Love is also a gift.
It is painful but beautiful.

Touch so soft and sweet.
Hot and cold.
Burning my skin everywhere there is contact.
Luring me in to your flames.
...

As those words leave your lips and reach my ears, I will smile through the tears.
A melody only meant for my ears, just those three words are my song.
They are my lullaby as they tuck me in and say goodnight.
They wipe my tears away and soothe my heart ache.

How will this love end?
Will we be destroyed in the end?
Or alive and well?
In the end will I lose you?

Lost and alone.
Broken and scared.
Yet so beautiful.
Eyes lost, full of pain and misused love.
