The fallen leaves of autumn
has a story of its own to tell you
a story of love, a story of pain,
a story of intense grief.
For years had they been parts
of the same branch of the same tree.
Childhood- they had enjoyed together
and they had lived together for long
sharing joys, sorrows and
were brought up by the tree.
But now, the season has turned against
- against them and against all.
Autumn separated them.
The two leaves which lived long
in the same branch of the same tree,
now, got separated from each other
separated from their mother tree.
They knew it was their fate
but reluctant to bear the pain,
both, got separated, lied down on earth
together, peacefully, dead.
Calmness of death surrounded them
with no evil looks, no evil eyes.
Atlast they've overcome their fate
being together even in death
wanting to be together as always
and even now it remained true.
The leaves smiled at each other
while the mother tree wept.

Yes, time separates two leaves, two hearts also and if possible it also reunites them in present or afterlife. Beautifully written and expressed. Thanks for sharing.
