The Pains Of A Dancer Poem by DANIEL ESSIEN

The Pains Of A Dancer

Will I say it is fate?
That it happen on same date?
Again I ve to bet
I am sure this time I'll win
If I lose, it shall be a sin.

My back is pained
I cannot bend
Was it because the dance was core?
The drums whipped
Indeed we swinged
The dance was pepped
The watchers knows.

Did I win?
Or was it a sin?
Everyone knows it was none,
The contest was for all
And the winner was none.
