The Parting Poem by Sanjay Kamlakar

The Parting

Lookin in her blue eyes
playing windy hair,
all the words stumbled
deep down knocking care...
I was holding her hand,
firmly wid the faith,
she sighed a lil sigh
I wiped her rolling tears....
Her eyes lost in da past
down the memory lane,
no whisper, only touch
My heart madly roared....
I bent to kiss her eyes
A breeze curled her hair,
wounded were the glories
all vanished in the air....
The night was growing dark
The sea was wild upshore,
The stars shined brightly
deep silence more n more...
I picked the only rose,
and feathered around her lips
She muttered as if the petals
knew her heart's beats...
The time came of parting
Never to meet again,
The memories once sparked,
shined in her lovely glare....
she waved her hand saying bye
and looked back just once,
The fragrance teased the air
seeing parting of the souls...
I was searching for her shadows,
searching for the moon,
the stars stopped glittering,
The Sun threw fresh beams...
Far from the eastern core...
Now I m happy singing my lore
The sands know my footprints,
Coz I am quiet on the shore.
