Elope with me but leave no clues
And we will all the laws abuse
That ever God or man obeyed
Or any legislator made
We'll let our kisses play at thieves
And steal the heat from summer's breeze
Fencing it's warm and golden glow
As clothes to cheat the winter's snow
And we'll defraud the sun of time
With acts beyond the scope of rime
For drugged in deepest love's delight
We'll trick the daytime into night
And in the coil of our embrace
Concern shall vanish like an ace
And strangled by our lover's play
All else but us shall pass away
Then as we set the sky afire
Ignited by our own desire
We'll be consumed by subtle flames
Usurping all except our names
Then after under star filled skies
Contentment planted in our eyes
Our smiles shall counterfeit the sun
And maybe warrant all we've done
