THE PATHS ALMOST TAKEN
Started 12/27/25

The what ifs, the could-have-beens,
the paths almost taken...
life's delays and quiet forces
turn us without asking.
We decide, or think we do.
We arrive at a destination
only after much deliberations
and crossroads of confusions.
Life pauses, it redirects
And the 'what ifs' linger.
The 'could have beens' are close by
after being lost for a while
eventually we arrive,
we stamp our feet
to a road, we commit
and there is no going back ..
only getting by.
Yet, we remember
The paths almost taken
either with resolve
or quiet disdain
still we trod
on our path ahead
eyes bright on the future
and far behind
are the paths almost taken
