The Paths We Choose Poem by Jason Luneau

The Paths We Choose

The man who's lost
Walk the path he ought not take
Ignors all signs of danger... Those they are not fake
Bright lights show the right path
Blinding, reflecting right into his face
Runs toward darkness and death
As if life be a race
Continues on... Only sealing his own fate
While the devil lay in wait for you to take his bait
Once entangled in his trap you be mangled
You look up in complete dispair
Finally aware of the path, but the price you must pay and sit and wait
All lite up by the only one who cared
Released from your own trap, he see fit to repair
With a new start and a slate washed clean
Begin your new journey without a backward stare
