The Pending Storm Poem by MandyLynn Mott

The Pending Storm

Rating: 5.0

Today I went for a walk in bohemian Muizenberg,
Surfers corner was buzzing and full,
The riparian-blue ocean was cold as an iceberg,
I could feel the magnetic power of natures pull.

I inhaled the sea air deeply,
The wind dancing mystical tunes through my tossled locks,
Tormented souls rushing on by feebly
Governed by fast ticking mechanical clocks.

Seagulls swooping around and above,
Muffled blaring music played much too loud.
This idyllic setting ruined for couples in love
Sadly, the ambiance spoil by this angry devilish shroud.

Gloomy, tumultous, puffy, pillows of cloud comes tumbling in
The universes way of threatening a cleanse up, of all our dreadful sins.
I pause to pick up the pitifully strewn litter
And ponder how long ago, the same spot
Was bountiful with evolutionary glitter.

Reluctantly I walk back to the station,
a scenario unfolds into a melee,
I yearn to share this burning passion,
As I look out of the train window, for
one last glimpse at the frothy white rumbling sea.

Beautiful narrative piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned in good poetic diction with conviction. An insightful depiction of a tumultuous sea elegantly brought forth. Thanks for sharing Mandy. Please read my poem POETIC MASTERPIECE.
